SQA Engineer

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The quality assurance team ensures quality by following quality control policies and is responsible for developing and executing test cases, report and verify defects.  The job requires the SQA engineers to maintain a trouble-ticketing system and conduct regular discussions with the engineering groups.

Key Responsibility Areas:

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Review of the project requirement and identify testing requirements
• Design, develop, execute and maintain manual test suites and test cases
• Create and Verify Defects
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of delivery of testing assignments
• Effectively communicate status of testing efforts
• Ensure constructive working relationships within team and willingness and desire to work in an open, collaborative team environment
• Undertake specific tasks / duties as assigned by the QA Lead/QA Manager
• Ability to achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced software-testing environment
• Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and organizational skills, and a thorough approach to problem solving
• Methodical and detail-oriented

Requirements:

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Honours degree with 3-5 years experience in software testing

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in at least three of the following areas: test creation, regression testing, black-box and white-box testing, real-time software testing, embedded systems software testing, and PC software and hardware configuration
